TCF Bank Stadium Prepares To Host Minnesota Vikings Game
The deadline for the opening of Minnesota FC's new home has been set for March 2019

Minnesota United FC was founded only in 2015 with the club making their debut in the MLS last year, in 2017.

The club had set out their plans to build their own stadium after receiving the nod from the city council having gone through several discrepancies and complications, announced that the new stadium would be privately financed.

The deadline for the opening of Minnesota's new home had been set for March 2019. This meant that MNUFC had to play their home games in a temporary stadium for their first two seasons in the league.

Minnesota United currently uses the TCF Bank Stadium as their home away from home, in Minneapolis, MN with the venue holding a capacity of 50,000. They share the stadium with the Minnesota Golden Gophers of the NCAA Football.

This will be the second and last season that The Loons will play at this ground before moving into their new home next year.

The team has a great fanbase in their city but last season were unable to fill the stadium with a full set of spectators, with an average attendance of only 20,000 per game.
