New England Revolution v New York City FC
New York City FC has built an excellent fan base over the years

Major League Soccer's New York City FC is the sister club of English giants, Manchester City.

NYCFC has been playing their home matches in the iconic Yankee stadium since their debut in USA's top flight league in 2015.

The club has built an excellent fan base in a short span of time, becoming the largest in the league in terms of fan support.

This has resulted in the club attracting a great audience for their games week in and week out, with the average attendance being 23,000 last season in the MLS.

However, the team had announced their plans of building a new stadium in the state of New York.

But the failure to receive any approval has left the club to continue playing in a baseball-specific venue.

But, the NYCFC board intends on having their own stadium and will continue their pursuit of a new site with different options being taken into considerations.
