Klopp rotated after the derby win against Everton. He played a back five of Alisson GK, Gomez RB, Matip CB, VVD CB and Moreno LB. Milner, Keita and Henderson made up the midfield three and Origi, Sturridge and Shaqiri made up the front three.

Origi was given his first start of the season and Klopp made 6 other changes to the win at home v Everton. Liverpool's first half was poor and it took a Burnley goal to wake them up, but when it came to it, the 11 that was played got the job done.

The win needed Salah and Firmino to come off the bench to contribute to the 2nd and 3rd goals but this meant they played reduced minutes. These reduced minutes will mean that key players will be fresher for the big games like Manchester United and Arsenal that are still to come in this busy festive period.

This win shows that the depth at the club has been improved and that they can win games when key players, need to be rested for key games. This improved depth could be key for Liverpool and Klopp if they are going to win trophies.
