#4 'Iceland will do nothing'
This was a classic case of a frustrated Cristiano Ronaldo after he fails to make an impact in a football game. It was a group game in the Euro 2016 against minnows Iceland and the latter held former to a hard-fought 1-1 draw.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who made 10 attempts on goal in that game but failed to score, was visibly upset with Iceland’s shut-shop tactics and labeled them as a team with a small mentality that won’t be able to do anything in the tournament.
“Iceland didn’t try nothing, they just defend, defend, defend, they had two chances and scored a goal, it was a lucky night for them,” he said.
“We’re frustrated, they didn’t try to play. It’s why I think they will do nothing here. In my opinion, it’s a small mentality.
“It’s difficult when Portugal tries to win the game and the other team doesn’t.”
In the end, Portugal won the Euros playing not-so-pleasant football but you won’t see the former Manchester United man complain about it, will you?
