While we all know that Cristiano Ronaldo is among the best players of all time, belittling his team-mates in front of the media is never a wise thing to do for a player that is considered as the biggest star of the team.

After losing the Madrid derby in February 2016, the former Sporting starlet blasted his team-mates for not being up to his level and also blasted the media for asking “crappy” questions.

"It annoys me that they say that Cristiano has dropped his level, and that is why Madrid have dropped their level," he said. "If they were all at my level we would be first. You always ask me these crappy questions -- it seems that here in Spain, I am in the s**.”

The five-time Ballon d’Or then clarified that he was talking about his team-mates' fitness levels and not their playing standard.

"When I said that I meant the physical level, not the game. I am not better than any of my teammates," he told Marca.

This is a recurring theme with Cristiano Ronaldo where he says something unfair and then tries to clear himself after the milk has already been spilt.
