Paris Saint-Germain v Manchester United - UEFA Champions League Round of 16: Second Leg
When Manchester United appointed Solskjaer as their Caretaker manager in December 2018, they were in deep waters. The club had already lost 5 and drawn 5 of their first 17 games in the league. Those included humiliating 3-1 defeats at the hands of both City and Liverpool. They had also exited the League Cup in the third round itself and the Club was dangerously sliding down the table.

The Norwegian steadied the ship, and got his superstars firing again on the field. United went on a record-setting 8 run unbeaten streak in all competitions under him and the mood at Old Trafford was suddenly sunny again. Solskjaer won 14 of his first 19 games in charge and drawing 2. His only defeats were at the hands of PSG in the Champions League, Arsenal in the Premier League and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the F. A. Cup.
With Barcelona up ahead in the Quarter Finals of the UEFA Champions League and the fight for the 4th place in the league far from over, Solskjaer has his work cut out now. However, the Norwegian has been brilliant as the Caretaker Manager so far and his recent form finally convinced the United hierarchy to give him the full-time job.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
