Manchester United v Juventus - UEFA Champions League Group H
Perhaps the youngster who has suffered the most under Jose Mourinho has been Marcus Rashford. When he first broke into the team, Rashford was a phenomenal talent and was certainly destined for great things. One cannot help but wonder that had he blossomed under Sir Alex, Rashford would have been as phenomenal as Mbappe. Unfortunately, Rashford has gone backwards in his development.

The youngster has shown a severe lack of confidence recently and has lost his identity under Mourinho. In a fit to defend and track back, Rashford seems to have misplaced his attacking instincts and the results are alarming. Last season, he scored just 13 goals from 52 games; he made the starting eleven in only 26 of those games. This season, Rashford has started 8 games, and has 2 goals from 13 games, yet both his goals were scored coming off the bench.
At United this season, Rashford has been ineffective as the main striker, he has been ineffective on the right side as well. He has played 6 games as a Central Striker, 4 through the right and 3 from the left so far. The way that Mourinho sets up the team hinders his abilities and Rashford will be worried about his development under the Portuguese. However, whenever he puts on the England shirt, he looks a completely different player, because of the freedom he is afforded with his national team. He is held in high regards by both Sir Alex and Pep Guardiola, so unless Mourinho lets him play his natural game, Rashford could leave in search of greener pastures in the summer. And he would find many suitors too.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
