The Spaniard has a been a shining star ever since he was promoted to the first team from the youth system in 2016. He played influential roles as Los Blancos claimed the Champions League trophy last season, although he had to settle for a limited role due to the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo in the team.
With the Portuguese now gone, it is time for the youngster to be unleashed in the European tournament. He is only 22 years old yet Asensio plays with so much maturity that it becomes very easy to forget that he is still a young player. With his fantastic goalscoring knack, amazing teamwork and ability to change the fate of games within a few seconds, there is no doubt the winger will be a hit in the Champions League this term.
