Adidas Ace 15.1 boots are designed to dominate the game with full precise control of the ball. Adidas claims that these boots will bring total control to the chaotic game (funny part is Adidas launched Adidas X 15.1 to create chaos in the first place).

Adidas released both Adidas Ace and X football boots on 25th, May 2015. The cleats debuted in the UEFA Champions League final on June 6, 2015 in Berlin.

The following video shows the story behind the making of Adidas Ace football boots. From early prototypes to current model.

Adidas launched the Adidas Ace Football Boots with a Metallic Silver / Solar Yellow colorway. Regarding the styling, it is similar to Adidas Adipure football boots. Unlike Adidas X 15.1 where Adidas completely moved in different direction, Ace will feature three stripes on the outstep and the instep of the boot. The Adidas performance logo is printed on the heel area. Like Adidas X, the Ace is handcrafted for perfection.

Adidas Ace has a Totalskin synthetic upper along with a 3D control web. The control web features a three layer composite material which provides an unmatched first touch control. It also features NSG (Non Stop Grip) which enables control in all weather conditions (you got it; it is similar to Nike’s ACC). The Non Stop Grip is a structure of microdots placed advantageously all over the upper of the new Adidas Ace 15.1.

The most noticeable feature of this football boot is the external heel counter. This is the first time Adidas has introduced an external heel counter for a football boot. This adds exceptional levels of stability to the football boot. Adidas reworked and created a unique outsole for Adidas Ace football boots. Adidas named it as Totalcontrol outsole. This new Totalcontrol outsole is the first-ever mixed FG / AG sole. It has a lowered stud height and a completely new stud configuration. Adidas claims that this enables more studs to touch the ball during movement.

Coming to the studs, the boot will feature conical studs with a second level of studs (amazing technology from Adidas) for better ball control. The football boot weighs around 252g.

Adidas athletes such as Mesut Özil, Xabi Alonso, Casillas, Neuer, Hummels and James Rodríguez will wear the new Adidas Ace 15.1 Boots from June 2015.

Adidas also released a leather version of the Ace football boots. It will feature a super soft K-leather upper in the forefoot area. It is for players who prefer kangaroo leather to synthetic materials. Adidas used a traditional stitching grid on the leather model for better stability. Apart from the upper material, it is identical to the synthetic boot.

Athletes such as Toni Kroos, Daniele De Rossi and Phillip Lahm will wear the leather boots from the 2015-2016 season.

Ace 15.1 Leather retails at a price similar to the synthetic Adidas Ace 15.1 football boot. Ace 15.1 is the best version available. Adidas also unveiled lower tier versions. Ace 15.2, 15.3 and 15.4.

The price for Ace 15.1 is set around 200 Euros i.e. around 13,500 to 14,000 INR and is available from July 1, 2015 worldwide.

Bottom-line: Adidas certainly ‘Aced’ with this boot and is the boot to watch out for in 2015.
