Manchester United manager David Moyes has revealed the FA has been monitoring 18-year-old youngster Adnan Januzaj and are trying to woo the Belgian to represent the England national team.

Januzaj born to Kosovon-Albanian parents is also wanted by Albania and Croatia. He joined United from Belgian club Anderlecht in 2011 at the age of 16. He also managed to score 2 goals on his senior team debut for Manchester United.

“I think there is some way in which he could qualify for England,” Moyes said. “I think it’s something to do with residency. It’s something like that [after living in England for five years].

“I think he has a choice of countries to play for. Obviously he has been called up by Belgium several times and chose not to at the moment. He’s wanted by Albania, Croatia and a few others. He can play for several countries and England as well.”

Asked if the FA had contacted him, Moyes replied, ” Yes, they have.”
