Nepal’s top division football league champions Manang Marsyangdi Club (MMC) defeated Cambodia’s league champions Svarieng FC 6 – 3 in their first match of the AFC Presidents Cup Group C Qualifiers held in Mongolia.
Deepak Rai scored in 4th minute to put MMC in the lead and star striker Anil Gurung doubled the lead for MMC in the 9th minute of the match. Sahid Aziz scored the third for MMC in the 23rd minute of the match. Svarieng FC pulled one back in the 36th minute of the match through Soum Veasna. MMC went to the half time break with 3 – 1 lead.
After the break it was MMC that dominated the match. Deepak Rai scored his 2nd and MMC’s 4th goal in the 62nd minute while Sulav Maskey scored the 5th goal for MMC in the 75th minute. Nirajan Malla scored 6th goal for MMC in the 81th minute of the match. Svarieng FC scored two goal in the second half to make the scoreline 3 -6. MMC is pitted in group C with Svarieng FC (Cambodia) and FC Erchim (Mongolia).
MMC is slated to take on FC Erchim in next match on May 5.
