Highly rated Nigerian international striker Ahmed Musa has reportedly passed his medical at Leicester City. The Premier League champions have been liked with a £18 million move for the striker from Russian side CSKA Moscow.

The Foxes seem to have got their man after the only remaining part of the move being the signing of the contract. Leonid Slutsky, the coach of CSKA Moscow has told the Russian media that Musa will be leaving to England on Tuesday (5th July). Slutsky also said that Musa would flourish in England since his style of play suits the league.

The 23-year old leaves Moscow after four successful seasons. He caught the eyes of the Nigerian media in 2009-10 when he was playing at Kano Pillar F.C in the Nigerian league where he finished as the top scorer of the season with 18 goals. This was also the then league record for most number of goals in a season.

Musa also hit the headlines when he scored two goals against Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. His first of the game came in the fourth minute, just a minute after Messi put the Argentine’s ahead and his second came just minutes into the second half to put the game level at 2-2.

Ahmed Musa along with Jamie Vardy would make Leicester’s attack faster than ever and could trouble most defences in the Champions league next season.
