Akinfenwa doesn’t bully defenders in the virtual world

AFC Wimbledon’s Adebayo Akinfenwa leads the list of FIFA 15’s strongest players. In fact, he was the strongest in FIFA 14 as well. But despite that, he admits that he doesn’t play as himself in the game. A pace rating of just 50 frustrates this man who can bench press 180kg.

He recently acted as a body guard to the FIFA 15 stock at a GAME store and joked, “I’m delighted to be recognised again as the strongest footballer player in the world. I may not be as pacey or skilful as Messi or David Silva on FIFA 15 but would you want them guarding your store?”

He also went on to talk about his daily routine.

"I get up, I would say normally by the alarm clock but it’s not, it’s my screaming kids that wake me up.

"I go down to training, normally for a two hour session, then maybe do a 45-1 hour gym session afterwards .

"Then get some Nando’s maybe after, go home and try to relax a little bit. I like playing FIFA, although not with myself on the game that much as I’m pretty slow and it’s frustrating.

"I try and score a couple of worldies with myself every now and again, as in real life I’m always scoring headers, but that doesn’t happen too often. My kids are old enough just to button bash now but they recognise Daddy is in the game, which is nice and I enjoy that.”

He concluded by mentioning that he is working with his company on building a football academy in the future.
