Coach Vahid Halilhodži? announces Algeria’s World Cup squad

Algerian coach Vahid Halilhodži? announced his provisional 30 man squad for Algeria for the 2104 FIFA World Cup. The squad features only 4 Algerian based players with most of them currently playing in Europe.

Tottenham Hotspur teenager Nabil Benataleb has been included along with uncapped Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez. Halilhodži? also recalled Nottingham Forest striker Rafik Djebbour who has been in good form lately. The only notable player left out of the squad is Livorno striker Ishak Beflfodil who has had disciplinary charges throughout his brief international career.

Algeria are involved in Group H along with Belgium, Russia and South Korea. They open their campaign against Belgium on June 17.

Midfielders: Nabil Bentaleb, Ryad Boudebouz, Yacine Brahimi, Abdelmoumene Djabou, Sofiane Feghouli, Adlene Guedioura , Foued Kadir , Amir Karaoui, Mehdi Lacen, Riyad Mahrez, Saphir Taider (Inter Milan), Hassan Yebda
