Andres Iniesta to sign a new contract with Barcelona

According to Guardian, Andres Iniesta is set to sign a new contract for 5 years with his current club Barcelona. The 29-year-old legendary midfielder joined the Spanish giants when he was 17 and has given indications that he might end his career at Camp Nou.

Barcelona’s vice-president Josep Bartomeu spoke on the issue and said, “The negotiations are under way and both sides want to sign. Iniesta’s new contract will be the maximum allowed of five years.”

This latest move comes as a shock as it was hugely speculated that he would enter Premier in his next term with Manchester City and Manchester United being the preferred locations.
