In what goes down as today's headline, Barcelona wonderkid Ansu Fati has signed a fresh three-year deal with the Catalan giants. The contract, which has an astonishing £144 million release clause, would keep him at the club until June 2022.

Having made a meteoric rise into the first-team setup, Fati has grown into the famous Barcelona shirt since his debut against Real Betis. He's shown glimpses of what he could become, while also bagging a couple of goals along the way.

“Working every day with the best is a dream, and also a reward," Fati stated, upon penning his new deal.
“From now on, what I have to do is keep working, even harder than ever, to keep getting chances and carry on enjoying myself. The rest will come after.”

The youngster also added that in his opinion, La Masia is the best academy in world football.

According to German publication Bild (via Sky Sports), Borussia Dortmund have refused to sell Jadon Sancho in January.

The England international has proved to become a cause for major interest from a slew of European giants such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea among others. However, the BVB management do not expect the player to push for a move away from the Signal Iduna Park in January.

A return to England is on the cards, but with the club having poured cold water on the speculation, the English powerhouses may have to wait until next summer, at least.

Jose Mourinho rules out Fernandes interest

Where next, for Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes?
Where next, for Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes?

Jose Mourinho has ruled out the possibility of landing playmaker Bruno Fernandes to North London in January, citing lack of funds as a reason for the same. Spurs were believed to have held advanced talks with the Portuguese last summer but surprisingly, they will not chase him in the forthcoming transfer period.

Fernandes recently committed himself to Sporting, and understandably, Mourinho feels Spurs don't have what it would take to prize him away. The former Chelsea boss claimed:

"I would definitely say no because Bruno is a player of a level and value that is not for us. We are not a club that is going to make big transfers in the market, nor is it going towards players who are already developed or at a certain level of expectation, also economically."

Lavishing praise on the talismanic Memphis Depay, club president Jean-Michel Aulas has openly admitted his desire to hand a new deal to Lyon's main man in front of goal. Having grown into a lynchpin for the French outfit, Depay has taken his form and overall game to greater heights this season, where he already has 11 goals in 14 fixtures in all competitions.

This rise has of course, not gone unnoticed. However, Aulas intends to offer him an improved deal in order to make him stay at Lyon. The club president, while speaking to beIN Sports, remarked:

"He's going to decide. We will make him an extension proposal because he is an exceptional player. He is an endearing boy. For me, he's not only a great player, but also an interesting man."

Brazilian forward Richarlison has signed a stellar new deal at Everton, keeping him with the Toffees until 2024.

Having joined the club from Watford in July 2018, Richarlison has netted 20 goals in 50 starts for them. During his time at Goodison Park, the 22-year-old has also earned 19 caps for his national team.

Delighted after inking a new contract, he conceded:

"I intend to be here a long time. This was the club which gave me the opportunity to show my football. It was here I managed to get a place in the Brazil national team and it was here I have scored lots of goals in the Premier League."
