Andrew Robertson was one of Liverpool's best players against Arsenal

Simon Mignolet - 5/10

He should have saved Xhaka's long-range effort. Period. Now once again, after some improved performances, he faces the wrath of Liverpool supporters who believe they need a better quality goalkeeper to truly challenge at the top.

Joe Gomez - 6.5/10

Should have been switched on to clear the danger and avoid Alexis beating him to the ball for Arsenal's first, but in fairness, did not put a foot wrong other than that. Sanchez was relatively quiet and this was down to Gomez's solid one-on-one defending.

Dejan Lovren - 7/10

Despite Liverpool conceding three, the Croatian - often singled out for criticism - had a solid game defensively on this occasion. Made a handful of important interceptions and clearances throughout, which was ultimately not enough to secure all three points.

Ragnar Klavan - 6/10

Just like Lovren, the Estonia international too had a solid but unspectacular game at the heart of defence. Played a few terrific balls to find Liverpool's attack-minded players making runs down the channels.

Andrew Robertson - 6.5/10

The Scot continues to impress with each passing game, which will be a matter of concern for injured Alberto Moreno. His delivery into the area tested Arsenal's defensive resolve too often for their liking.

Jordan Henderson - N/A

The Liverpool captain had to be substituted inside the first 10 minutes, after pulling up with an injury that he simply could not run off.

Emre Can - 6/10

Once again, Can offered little going forward but importantly, helped protect Liverpool's defence and worked really hard.

Philippe Coutinho - 7/10

The diminuitive Brazilian broke the deadlock with his first headed goal in the Premier League and is now finding consistency like never before, perhaps at the right time with his transfer value continuing to rise.

Sadio Mané - 6/10

Another match where Mané could have, and probably should have scored. He was menacing in attack whilst crucially not shying away from his defensive responsibilities - helping his fullback deal with Arsenal's attacks down the flank.

Mohamed Salah - 7/10

Every time I write them, Salah's player ratings seem to be the same. He missed a few good opportunities to score in the first-half, before doubling Liverpool's lead with a well-taken finish, taking his individual tally to 15 Premier League goals this term already.

Roberto Firmino - 8/10

The creative Brazilian was excellent on this occasion, with a goal and an assist to his name. His movement was pivotal in helping to fashion the chance for Salah to bury in the second-half, before he saved his team's blushes with their third and the game's final goal - even if Cech should have saved it.

He held the ball up well, brought team-mates into play while causing havoc with his passing and pressing when out of possession.

Substitutes

James Milner - 6.5/10

Milner came on as an early sub for Henderson and played his role to perfection. He did plenty of dirty work defensively, while making some good runs and passes going forward.

Georginio Wijnaldum - N/A

He had very little time to influence the game, coming on as a late substitute for Mané.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - N/A

The boos echoed around the Emirates when he came on but that was his most notable contribution in the game. Harsh, perhaps, but he only played a few minutes on his return to north London after a £40m move on deadline day this past summer.
