Lanvin Homme will be worn by each member of the squad when on selected official Club appearances

Lanvin Homme will be worn by each member of the Arsenal first-team squad, manager Arsene Wenger and key representatives of the Club while making official Club appearances, including all home matches in the Premier League and Champions League.

This collaboration, the first of its kind for both the Club and the fashion house, is officially unveiled for Arsenal’s Premier League match against Southampton on November 23, and will last for two seasons until 2015.

Vinai Venkatesham, Arsenal’s sales and marketing director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lanvin to the Club as our official tailor.

“The fashion house has a remarkable history and proud heritage and is an institution in its field having opened in 1889, only three years after Arsenal played its first match. The suits are a classic design, and will give players and staff a unified and stylish appearance.”

The Arsenal crest is stylishly emblazoned on the front of the jacket in gold, and the choice of material for the suits consists of Italian Super 110 in midnight blue.

A slim-fit shirt in white cotton poplin with a small collar and double cuffs will be accessorised with a red silk tie or a handmade red silk bow tie for more formal occasions.

A pair of black derby shoes, a black silver-buckled belt and a pair of cufflinks engraved with the famous Arsenal cannon add the finishing touches.

Lucas Ossendrijver, designer at Lanvin Homme confessed he was not sure why Arsenal chose Lanvin.

“I’m not really a sport person – I don’t follow it – but I am often very inspired by it in my work. And of course I knew about Arsenal,” Ossendrijver said.
