Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna could miss Sunday’s visit of West Bromwich Albion with a swollen knee, report the Daily Mail.

The French full-back has been rated as a 50/50 chance to face the relegation threatened Baggies at the Emirates, with manager Arsene Wenger now facing a huge selection dilemma.

Sagna is an integral part of the Gunners’ back line and a victory this weekend would guarantee them fourth place along with a vital place in next season’s Champions League.

However, with the FA Cup final just two weeks away, if Sagna takes the field against Pepe Mel’s side he could risk aggravating the injury and missing out on the Wembley showpiece on 17 May.

Wenger will hope to have the Premier League sewn up to avoid an edgy final day fixture against Norwich City, but if Sagna cannot face Hull City it would be a huge blow to the team and has a big decision to make.

It appears to be a catch 22 situation, but we are likely to find out where Wenger’s priorities lie in his team selection.

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old’s future at the club is still uncertain as he is yet to agree a contract extension. Talks have been ongoing throughout the season with the club reportedly set to lodge a final contract offer for Sagna, who has wage demands of around £100,000 a week.
