Arsenal are weighing up an offer for Espanyol goalkeeper Kiko Casilla , according to the Mirror.

The Gunners have approached the player’s agent over a £6 million deal for the 27-year-old shotstopper, who would serve as competition for Wojciech Szcz?sny.

Real Madrid stand to receive 50% of the fee Arsenal agree on for Casilla, so Espanyol are holding out for a more lucrative offer.

Elsewhere, Serie A champions Juventus have joined the race for Arsenal and Liverpool target Alexis Sanchez, as reported by the Mirror.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is said to have pinpointed the Barcelona forward as his primary summer target and is discussing a £25 million deal with the Catalan club.

Meanwhile, Juventus have made a formal approach for the Chilean World Cup star and are in correspondence with the 25-year-old’s representatives.

Antonio Conte’s side would need to free up some funds before they lodged an offical bid for Sanchez, with Arturo Vidal mooted in a big-money move to Manchester United.

Liverpool, who are locked in discussions with Barcelona over the sale of Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez, are also attempting to lure Sanchez away from the Nou Camp. However, recent reports suggest that the player favours a move to North London or Juventus over Merseyside.

Atletico Madrid have been discussed as an outside bet to secure Sanchez’s signature, although the La Liga champions currently have their hands full negotiating moves for Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku and Manchester City’s Alvaro Negredo.
