Thanks for the memories Wenger but Arsenal need a change

Since Arsene Wenger joined Arsenal almost 18 years back, he's done what no other manager could ever do with a football club. When he arrived at Arsenal everyone did not know what to expect from him as he was unknown in English football. Between the years of 1997 and 2004 he won over 13 titles with Arsenal and played an important role in tying up a deal with Emirates for the Stadium. Also he is the only manager in history of English football to win the league unbeaten. He revolutionized English football.

He was the first manager to scout for talent abroad and he insisted on a more passing game and always wanted the perfect goal. He saw Arsenal as a club that developed footballers rather than those clubs that spent millions on players.

After the 2004-05 season Arsenal never finished in the top two and following the departures of a lot of stars that helped in winning the title in 2004 bought up speculations if Wenger's future is secure with the club but he ended up signing a new contract and after that year it's been the same story for Arsenal till now. Since then at the start of every season a lot has been promised by the manager but they have never delivered.

Their main problem has been their defense and every player that Arsenal produces they ended up leaving and new players were never brought after that. In 2011 Arsenal sold two main stars in Fabregas and Nasri and that following weekend ended up losing 8-2 to Manchester United. They still did not buy any new major star. The next year following the departure Robin Van Persie they bought Olivier Giroud, Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla. This was the first time they spent so much on players and after that even Wenger realized that he needs to spend.

Two years later they bought Mesut Ozil for a club record fee of 42 million and they won the FA cup that year after eight long years without any silver wear. Coming into the 2014-15 season they bought a host of player's most notably Alexis Sanchez. Everyone expected Arsenal to have a very strong season as this was the first time Arsenal had a fully prepared squad before the season started. Despite all the preparations like every other season they are struggling, barely winning matches, have defensive problems and like every season a lot of their players are out injured.

This season its almost become easy to predict the players Arsenal are going to field out and how they are going to play. Arsenal struggle to score in every game and its like he's running out of ideas. He tells his players the same tactics and it shows in every game.

This season the problem has been the whole team as such. Despite buying Sanchez and Welbeck they have still struggled to score this season and ever since Partick Vieira left they have never been able to find his replacement. Personally i feel Abu Diaby is a very good defensive midfielder and if you actually look at the stats Arsenal actually play better when he's there.

Arsenal have to re vamp their whole coaching staff. If you look at the team, its actually one of the best on paper. So the problem is clearly the coaches. Arsenal need to let Wenger go or he needs to realize this on his own, that he's ideas don't work here anymore and he needs to leave.

Every year the fans expect so much but all they get is a fourth palace finish and and reach the round of 16 in the Champions League. Arsene Wenger has done so much for the club but now its time for him to leave, he needs a new challenge and Arsenal need a new leader. Lets hope he realizes this on his own or the Arsenal board does something because if he stays they will never improve their current status.
