Arsenal progressed to the semi finals of the FA Cup 2014 by defeating Everton by a margin of 4-1 on Saturday. But it seems that the Arsenal coaching staff still has problems while getting the players’ names right.

The Gunners are one of those clubs who have players with names which are quite difficult to pronounce and Wojciech Szczesny, Lukasz Fabianski and Emiliano Viviano all are all examples of how tricky it can get while making the team sheet.

The problem was quite clear when the Gunners’ official team sheet was handed prior to their quarter final match against Everton and it was filled with spelling mistakes when it came to the names of the players.

The team sheet was filled in with a pencil, and the handwriting made it clear that the sheet was filled in quite a rush. But it still cannot be an excuse for writing ‘Mathli Flamini’ instead of Mathieu Flamini. Further mistakes can be spotted in the substitutes’ column where Lukas Podolski was spelled as ‘Ukas Poldolski’.

The team sheets are generally compiled by a member of the Arsenal coaching staff, usually an hour before the official kick off, before they are handed out to the referee and his supporting officials. The team sheet was also handed out to the media in attendance at the Emirates Stadium and it can safely be said, that it is quite embarrassing for a major club like Arsenal to get their own players’ names wrong in the official team sheet.
