Arsenal's predicted line-up against Stoke City

Premier League action resumes this weekend and Arsenal host relegation candidates Stoke City. After losing to Stoke in the reverse fixture, Arsenal will want to get the three points even more.

At this stage, getting points is equally crucial for both teams with different aims in mind. Arsenal's notable long-term absentee is Santi Cazorla while for the Potters, Charlie Adam will be serving the first of his three-match ban after a straight red in the match against Everton.

Arsene Wenger has always preferred a 4-3-2-1 system and the side are again expected to line up in that setup...

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech

Cech kept his 200th clean sheet against Watford

Though the former Chelsea custodian has been inconsistent at times, Arsene Wenger has placed a lot of trust in him and he looks set to continue in the league. With David Ospina playing in the Europa League, Cech looks certain to be the main keeper for Arsenal in the Premier League

Right-back: Hector Bellerin

The Spanish right-back was not called up for international duty over the last two weeks. After returning from injury, Bellerin made it into the starting line-up against AC Milan. After undergoing training during the international break, Bellerin is expected to be part of the starting line-up against Stoke City.

Centre-backs: Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny

For the majority of the season, the duo has played together. They are starting to find the right chemistry at the heart of the defence. Mustafi was not picked by Joachim Low for international duties, but the German defender has had a strong presence in the backline. He is good in the air and can be a threat during set pieces.

Koscielny could return to Arsenal's starting line-up after he played the full match for France in their international friendly. He hurt himself early in the Europa League match and played no role in France's shock loss to Colombia. However, with him playing in the tie against Russia, it could mean that Koscielny is fit to start once more.

Left-back: Nacho Monreal

Monreal has been one of the most reliant and consistent players this season. He provides discipline on the left flank to support the attack. At the back, Monreal seldom sheds his responsibilities and handles pressure well.

Central Midfielders: Granit Xhaka and Jack Wilshere

Switzerland v Panama - International Friendly

The Swiss international has been showing a more mature and disciplined side of him in the last few weeks. With his powerful left-footed strikes, he is always a threat even though he scores very few goals.

In Arsenal's press conference, Steve Bould confirmed that Wilshere trained and seemed alright. Wilshere withdrew from the squad after a suspected knee injury and played no role in England's international friendlies. The Englishman has been influential in many Arsenal games and looks to be part of the team ready to face Stoke City this Sunday.

Ozil has begun playing in Europa League as Arsenal advance further

Left-wing: Alex Iwobi

Iwobi has been the preferred choice to play on the wings for Arsenal. Wenger trusts him to do the job and though his inconsistency has hampered Arsenal's attacking play, he is once again expected to start.

Central Attacking Midfield: Mesut Ozil

The German played no role in Germany's loss to Brazil. Given that there was no mention of any injury, it is expected that Ozil will start against Stoke. Without Ozil, Arsenal often look clueless in the attacking third as he is the creative brain of the team.

Right-wing: Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Mkhitaryan was recently awarded the Armenia Footballer of the Year. He has had a positive start to his Arsenal career thus far and the only thing missing is the consistency.

Striker: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Aubameyang has had a slow start at the Emirates but he is still gelling with the rest of his teammates, so we could slowly see the better of him in the coming weeks.
