Arsenal target Julian Draxler will leave next summer, says agent

Draxler
Who will win the race to sign him?

Arsenal target and Germany international Julian Draxler will leave Wolfsburg next summer and play for another European side next summer, according to player’s agent Fabio Parisi.

The controversial agent talked up Draxler’s Bundesliga exit earlier in the season with Juventus being the favorites to sign the 23-year-old playmaker. Wolfsburg for their part rejected all the big money bids that came their way and held their stance of not selling Draxler for anything less than £50 million.

Despite the disagreement between player and the club, the German international stayed at Volkswagen Arena this season. However, it has now been confirmed that the former Schalke man will be signing for another club in six months’ time.

Speaking with Tuttosport Draxler's agent, Fabio Parisi, said : “He will definitely leave Wolfsburg at the end of the season. He would’ve gladly run to join Juve and is the ideal Tre Qu Artista for Allegri.

“I repeat: Draxler will leave, but whether or not Juventus are interested again is another matter. I think the Bianconeri can still spend big money, as their revenue is close to that of the top European clubs.”

Do Arsenal have a chance of signing Draxler?

Six months is a really long time and it indeed gives Arsenal enough time to prepare their offer which might tempt the German to make his Premier League move. According to transfermarkt, Draxler is currently valued at £28 million but the Gunners will need to cough up something in the region of £50 million to get their man.

One hope for Arsenal is Mesut Ozil’s presence at the Emirates as Ozil was instrumental in convincing another German teammate Shkodran Mustafi to sign for Arsenal earlier in the summer.

Ozil is one of Draxler’s closest friends in the German international setup and if Arsenal do prepare their offer, Ozil may help his club in sealing one of the biggest transfers of next season.

Which teams can benefit from Draxler’s signing?

As earlier stated by the player’s agent, Juventus are leading the race to sign Draxler and seeing the way Serie A Champions have started their 2016/17 season, their chances can get only better with a more flair player amongst their ranks.

But Draxler’s ability to dribble and beat players with ease will add a new dimension to Juventus’ playing style.

PSG are another team who have been credited with an interest to sign Draxler next summer after Hatem Ben Arfa’s poor start to the season. Unai Emery wants a more assured attacker in his ranks who can share the goals and assists responsibility with Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria.

Manchester United and Chelsea could also enter the race after the player has been confirmed to leave Wolfsburg next summer.
