Pires advises Arsenal to not sign Lemar

Gunners legend thinks Lemar should not be signed in January

Arsenal tried to sign the AS Monaco attacker on deadline day as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez. However, the deal did not go through in the end and the London club was expected to go back for the player in the coming year. However, club legend Robert Pires thinks that ship has sailed and he told Bwin:

"Arsene tried to buy Lemar, and tried very hard, but I don't think the move will happen now."
"I don't think he's worth £90m, it's too much, the market is crazy. What would Zidane and Ronaldinho be worth now!"

Alexis Sanchez is no closer to staying at the club implying Wenger will be looking to sign Thomas Lemar in the coming year, despite Pires' statement.

Ozil told to wait till summer

Along with Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil's contract is set to expire next summer and the player has been heavily linked with Manchester United. The German worked with United boss Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid and is looking for a reunion.

However, Manchester Evening News claim that the World Cup winner has been suggested to run down his contract. The Red Devils want Ozil to wait till the summer if he wants a pay hike when he joins them.

The report states that Mourinho is yet to decide whether to put up a concrete interest in the player and this will potentially decide Ozil's next step.

Barcelona ready to let Arsenal target Turan leave

Arsenal reportedly bid for Turan earlier

The Turkish international is considered to be surplus to requirements at Camp Nou and Barcelona gaffer Ernesto Valverde is willing to let the player leave in 2018, as per Sport.

Arsenal's interest in the player has already been confirmed by Turkey manager Mircea Lucescu, who explained:

“I spoke to Valverde, Arsenal made Arda an offer. Arda was on the verge of joining Arsenal this summer but it did not go through.”

Thus, Wenger can go back in for Turan in the upcoming transfer window and this time Arsenal can get the attacker.
