Arsenal thrashed West Ham United this match week, 5-1, thanks to a hattrick from talisman Alexis Sanchez. The win has helped the Gunners maintain pressure on the teams above them. Moreover, Wenger has started planning for the transfer window to bolster his squad with a striker said to be high on his priority list.

AC Milan's Carlos Bacca has always been linked with a move to Premier League with Arsenal rumoured to be leading the race for the striker.

Bacca has been Milan's leading man but is reported to be unhappy at the club with Premier League being high on his wish list. Arsenal and AC Milan are said to have started talks regarding the Colombian with Milan estimating his value around £20 million. Vincenzo Montella, the Rossoneri boss is said to be thinking of completing a major overhaul in the coming transfer windows with Bacca set to be offloaded soon.

Arsene Wenger is determined to have enough striking options at his disposal as injury concerns to Danny Welbeck and Lucas Perez might hamper Gunners' title challenge. The Frenchman has now turned to the man who he had targeted last year to provide competition to Olivier Giroud. Bacca joined Milan last year and since has scored 26 goals in 56 games for the Italian giants.

When asked about Bacca's future in his press conference, Montella did not rule out a move for the 30-year old away from the San Siro. Recently Montella was quoted saying, "Can Bacca leave in January? I’m sorry to disappoint you, but it’s too early to talk about it. We won’t talk about the market. For now, Bacca is a Milan player."

PSG are also said to be monitoring Bacca’s situation with the French champions set to battle it out with Arsenal for the striker’s services.

Arsenal are also said to be interested in signing West Ham prodigy, Declan Rice. The defender is touted as a star for the future with the 17 year old already featuring for the Ireland under 21 side. Slaven Bilic is said to be a huge admirer of the youngster with Rice playing a crucial role in West Ham's U23 campaign this season. Julian Draxler is another name who is being linked with a move to the Emirates along with a shock return rumoured for Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas to solve Arsenal's midfield woes.
