Arsenal vs Burnley: How the Gunners should line-up | Premier League 2018-19

The Gunners were outscored and outperformed on two consecutive occasions, as Southampton beat them 3-2 at home, and then Tottenham got their redemption by winning 0-2 at the Emirates, after a horrific display in a 4-2 encounter which they lost against Arsenal a few weeks back.

Unai Emery and co will look to get back to winning ways, as they are 3 points behind Chelsea, and 11 behind Liverpool, who sit 4th and 1st respectively. A top-four finish is a necessity for the Gunners, even if that costs them the FA Cup and Europa League.

Injuries have hit Arsenal hard in recent weeks, as Danny Welbeck and Holding are sidelined for the whole season.

Also, Mkhitaryan, Bellerin, and Mustafi are out for a few weeks at least. Squad depth was an advantage for Arsenal this season, but without their key players, it is going to be a tough winter for the North London side.

So, with the game against Burnley coming up in a few hours, how should the Gunners line up? With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starting almost every game for Arsenal in the past few weeks, it's time for Lacazette to take his place.

Mesut Ozil should as well be included in the line-up, playing as a right winger, with Iwobi taking the left.

A formation of 4-2-3-1 would suit Arsenal best, but due to a lack of centre-backs in the squad, Emery would start with a 3-man defence consisting of Lichtsteiner, Sokratis, and Monreal. Ahead of them should be Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira playing through the centre, with Niles and Kolasinac playing as wing backs.

The 3-4-3 formation would turn out to be the best for Arsenal, considering the players available for selection, and it should be a win, as they are playing Burnley at home. My prediction for the game is 3-1 to Arsenal.

Arsenal has only lost 1 home game in the league this season, on the first matchday against Manchester City. Since then, they have been robust in all departments while playing at home, and they must try to continue the amazing run.
