Premier League transfer round-up: Arsenal willing to pay up to €40 million for Benzema, Tottenham could sign Real Madrid star, and more; 11 February 2018

Levante v Real Madrid - La Liga
Benzema has cut a sorry figure this season

Welcome to the Premier League transfer roundup for February 11, 2018. Another day of Premier League outfits getting linked with Real Madrid players. So here we go.

#5 Everton

Everton are one unfortunate club. They signed the classy Davy Klaassen but he has done poorly. They signed Gylfi Sigurdsson and he too has not hit the peaks that he did at Swansea. They just signed Cenk Tosun from Turkey and he has had an erratic start to his journey in England.

And now, Mirror state that Everton are ready to let go of Michael Keane after his indifferent start to his Everton career, with his former club Burnley still interested in him, but they will not pay anything close to the £30 million that the Toffees paid.

#4 London

Barcelona v Espanyol - Spanish Copa del Rey
On many clubs' radar

The rumours regarding Karim Benzema is that he is a man on the move out of Madrid. In this report from Diario Gol, Florentino Perez wants to sell Karim Benzema for around €60 million, with the only club interested in him being Arsenal.

But they will only offer €40 million for the Frenchman. Benzema, however, thinks that he still has some football left in him and doesn’t want to leave the Madrid outfit.

Meanwhile, Don Balon are at it again. They report that Samuel Umtiti’s €60 million release clause is enticing clubs to chase him, with Chelsea being the prominent outfit chasing the Frenchman. They are apparently willing to triple his €3 million per year wages in order to bring him to the Stamford Bridge.

#3 Liverpool

Valencia v Barcelona - Copa del Rey Semi Final Second Leg
Could Rakitic leave?

It is a well-known fact that Liverpool have a lot of money to spare after the sale of Coutinho. What is also known is that they are missing a player of his calibre as they didn’t sign anyone to replace the Brazilian.

As a result, they might be looking into La Liga for a creative midfielder. And Don Balon believe that the Merseyside outfit are targeting Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic, who is also being eyed by Juventus.

Meanwhile, if reports from The Sun are to be believed then Liverpool are about to win the race to sign Deportivo La Coruna forward Pinchi, who is out of contract by the end of the season but is also wanted by Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Finally, after cooling down interest on Thomas Lemar, Mirror say that Liverpool have shifted their attention towards Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey, who is valued at £100 million by the club.

#2 Tottenham

Levante v Real Madrid - La Liga
Bale has been erratic this season

Wouldn't Tottenham fans love the return of Gareth Bale? This may happen but at the expense of losing Harry Kane if reports from Diario Gol are to be believed.

Harry Kane’s price has been set at £200 million, so in a bid to lower it, Benzema was offered to Tottenham, but London club denied it. This is where Bale comes in. Manchester United have already closed the doors on him, which leaves him with two choices; back to Spurs, who should not mind having him back, or go to Chelsea.

#1 Manchester madness

Athletic Club v Real Madrid - La Liga
Isco to leave Real Madrid?

According to Diario Gol, Gerard Pique has told Lionel Messi that Pep Guardiola has asked Manchester City owners to make a move for Isco in the summer. Guardiola sees Isco as a midfielder in the mould of Andres Iniesta and is willing to pay €100 million for his signature.

Meanwhile, Don Balon believe that Manchester United and Manchester City are going to lock horns to sign the coveted Real Madrid star. United are willing to put €150 million on the table for Isco, but City believe that he would like to play for Guardiola instead.

Finally, Manchester City and Manchester United will battle each other for the signature of Leicester City’s Harry Maguire, who is rated at £50 million, say Daily Star.
