Lauren Bisan-Etame Mayer joined Arsenal from RCD Mallorca in 2000. The Cameroonian right-back was a relatively unknown talent when he joined the Gunners but went on to establish himself as a crucial member of their squad.

Lauren was initially unable to gain a regular place in the Arsenal starting eleven. It was while before he became the club's first-choice right-back, replacing Lee Dixon and Oleh Luzhny in the process. By the time Arsenal won the domestic double in 2001–02, Lauren was an integral part of the Arsenal defense.

As an Arsenal player, he won several trophies and best known as one of the 'Invincibles' squad. Lauren also played a vital part in helping Arsenal win three FA Cups during his time at the club.
