Barcelona head to England for camp without new forward
Barcelona, July 24 (IANS) FC Barcelona have concluded the first phase of preparations for the new football season after training for a whole week in its sports city, and will be heading on Monday to England, where the group will set camp for the second preparatory phase, which to be joined by Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.
On the other hand, there are still some matters to be resolved on the club's agenda, such as signing a new forward as requested by chief coach Luis Enrique, reports Efe.
Press reports noted on Saturday that Barcelona have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign Argentine Luciano Vietto, and it was expected to be announced on Monday, which did not happen so far.
Barcelona's camp in England will last until July 30, when the Catalan group begins its pre-season games against Celtic, and then Leicester City and finally Liverpool.
