Rumour: Barcelona to offload Arsenal and Manchester United target Cesc Fabregas for £45m

Fabregas: Has he played his last season at the Camp Nou?

Barcelona are willing to offload Spaniard Cesc Fabregas this summer to Arsenal or Manchester United for a fee in the region of £45 million, according to the Daily Star.

The Spanish international joined the Catalan giants in the summer of 2011 from Arsenal and has performed well during his time at the former La Liga champions. However, this season has been deemed a failure by many after Barcelona were left trophy-less following their Copa Del Rey final loss to rivals Real Madrid and being pipped to the title by Atletico Madrid.

Fabregas, now 27-years-old, has been tipped to leave Barcelona along with many others this summer and after Louis van Gaal was hired by Manchester United, it is reported he is interested in a move to the English giants.

Van Gaal has been linked with a number of targets and Fabregas, who was linked heavily with the Red Devils last summer during Moyes’ time in charge, could have his head swayed again in the direction of the Premier League.

United will have to fend off interest from Fabregas’ former club, Arsenal, who are also deemed to be potential suitors of the Gunners’ fan favourite. Fabregas was a huge success in north London, before leaving for Barcelona.
