Celtic boss Neil Lennon has just poured a bottle of cold water over Arsenal fans' growing interest in Kieran Tierney by claiming that the full-back is far from having recovered completely from a double hernia operation he had earlier this year and that he still feels pain when he kicks the ball.

However, he refused to deny the claims that another bid could come in for the youngster before the transfer window shuts.

Lennon said:

"Kieran started kicking a ball on Wednesday, but he’s still feeling some discomfort there. We’ll see how it is when things settle down because it’s a very unsettling time for him at the minute.
“Nothing has changed yet. It’s not speaking from insider knowledge, but in my experience another bid will come in. I’d be surprised if it didn’t. I’d also be delighted if if didn’t, but the good things is we will know either way by the end of the week when the window shuts down there.
“It’s not our problem, but the next few days might be spent sitting by the phone. Kieran is still feeling pain. He was out kicking a ball on Wednesday and just felt a lot of discomfort. I don’t know how far away he is.”
