Maguire will join the Red Devils on an £80 million deal. He will thus become the most expensive defender on the planet going past Virgil Van Dijk who was signed by Liverpool in the winter transfer window of 2018 for a sum of £75 million.
Solskjaer, speaking to the press after United's win against AC Milan in their pre-season game, confirmed the arrival of Maguire and said that he hopes to see an announcement soon.
