In what could be one of the most bizarre ways for a club in recent times to earn money, Barcelona FC permitted marriage ceremonies to take place in Nou Camp to generate funds for their ever increasing expenditure.

It’s a dream come true for many Barcelona fans who always wanted to have the European Cup trophy at their wedding with all the trophies Barcelona won lined up for the couple’s and their guest.

Former Barcelona hockey player Iban Anglada and his new wife Sigrid Sans, an economist became the first couple to have a wedding at Camp Nou and it reportedly cost them €60,000. The newlyweds and their 250 guests had pitch side drinks, while the dinner and after party were held inside.

Here’s the pricing breakdown

Holding a civil wedding ceremony at the stadium costs between 1,800 and 2,400 Euros depending on the number of guests, according to the club.

The price for the banquet begins at 110 euros per person and the club can accommodate up to 750 guests.

Extras, such as displaying the trophies which Barcelona won last season, including the Champions League, at the banquet cost 1,500 euros.

“The dream of so many Barcelona fans is finally possible, celebrating your wedding at Barca,” the club says in its brochure to promote its new wedding services.

Having Sergio Busquests show up and fall to the ground clutching his face during the first kiss costs €1,000 and if anyone want the groundskeeper to turn on the sprinklers at the height of your celebration, it will cost you an extra €300.
