In case you didn't know...

Barcelona are currently looking for a long-term replacement for ageing Luis Suarez and the Croatian international has emerged as one of the top targets for the Blaugrana in recent months.

The Eintracht Frankfurt striker is currently leading the race for the Bundesliga Golden Shoe after scoring 14 goals in just 19 league games. He also helped the Eagles win each of their Europa League group stage games and scored five goals in the process.

His impressive performances for the club also caught the attention of the Serbian national team's manager and he eventually gave him his first international cap last year.

The heart of the matter

According to the reports from the German newspaper, Frankfurter Allgemeine(via Sport), Barcelona have agreed personal terms with Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic.

The Serbian international currently on loan at Frankfurt from Benfica, however, the German side have already announced their intentions of activating an option in the deal that will allow them to purchase the Serbian on the permanent basis. This means Barcelona will need to negotiate with them instead of Benfica.

Rumour Ratings - 6/10

Luis Suarez turned 32 last month and Barcelona cannot afford to depend on him for long and need a new striker to replace their superstar. Moreover, the Blaugrana also confirmed the departure of Paco Alcacer on a permanent basis earlier this month, which left them short of options in the attacking department
