Barcelona went all out to sign Ousmane Dembele

All the details behind Dembele's deal are out

German newspaper Spiegel have revealed the details of Ousmane Dembele's big-money move from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona. The publication reportedly received the information from Football Leaks and state that the 20-year old earned a massive pay-raise from earning €2.4m per year in Germany and now earns whopping €12m per year at the Catalan club.

Further, the Frenchman will pocket €3.3m if he wins the treble with Ernesto Valverde's side. Now, coming to the fee that Barcelona have paid to Dortmund, the German club will earn a further €40 million based on add-ons. The Spanish club has to pay €5 million every time when Dembele registers 25, 50, 75 and 100 appearances for his new club.

Even in the current inflated market, the numbers are staggering for a 20-year old and there is no doubt that Barcelona went all out to secure a top player after the loss of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Barcelona hold talks with Goretzka's agent

Barcelona are interested in Goretzka

Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka is said to be the top target for Barcelona in the upcoming January transfer window, as per Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo. The 22-year old is one of the best young box-to-box midfielders in world football and his contract is set to expire in 2018.

Barcelona are reportedly extremely keen on the German and are looking to sign him for a cut-price deal in January for £13 million, instead of signing him for free in the summer.

The report mentions that Barcelona are in pole position to sign Goretzka having spoken to his agent Jorg Neubauer already. Thus, a new midfielder could arrive at Camp Nou in the January of 2018.

Andre Gomes free to leave

Granada CF v FC Barcelona - La Liga
Andre Gomes is set to leave the club

In line with Barcelona's interest to sign Goretzka in the upcoming window, midfielder Andre Gomes has been told that he is free to leave the club. Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reports that Valverde is willing to allow Gomes to leave as he is confident of replacing him with Goretzka.

Gomes has struggled to make the desired impact at Barcelona, after moving from Valencia for £31 million. The Portuguese failed to secure a transfer in the summer as none of the interested clubs met Barcelona's valuation. However, the increased chances of signing a replacement in the coming window improve Gomes' chances of leaving as well.

AS Monaco and Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be interested in him. Further, Jose Mourinho is rumoured to be interested to get his countryman to Manchester United and help him revive his career. Thus, Gomes is definitely not short of suitors and it remains to be seen who Barcelona will sell him to and how much will they profit from any deal.
