Barcelona Transfer News: Dembele to Liverpool for 100m, Lenglet to Camp Nou and more: May 15

Barcelona v Villarreal - La Liga
Will the forward's stint at Barcelona last for just one season?

Barcelona might take a hit of 35 million Euros in Dembele transfer

Ousmane Dembele, who was drafted into the Barcelona squad just last year for a transfer fee of 135 million Euros, has been consistently linked with a move to Liverpool this summer. According to Spanish media outlet, (h/t Liverpooloffside), the Catalan club are willing to endure a 35 million loss in the forward's impending transfer, having realized that he does not fit their scheme of things in the long-run.

The Spanish giants will aim to sell him in a deal that revolves around 100 million Euros. However, it remains to see if Jurgen Klopp is willing to go that far for a player and break the PL transfer record to get him to Anfield for the next season.

Clement Lenglet on club's radar for 2018/19

Sevilla defender, Clement Lenglet, is apparently on the wishlist of Barcelona this summer, as reported by Spanish website Sport, (h/t Sportsmole). The La Liga winners are lining up an offer worth 26.5 million Euros for the Frenchman, whose current contract with Sevilla expires in 2021.

The release clause in Lenglet's contract is 30 million Euros, which Barcelona are likely to set off in the upcoming transfer window, which opens on Thursday (May 17). The 32-year-old is reportedly being approached by the Spanish club as a potential replacement for Thomas Vermaelen in their back line.

Christian Eriksen ready for Barcelona or Real Madrid says Sorensen

Christian Eriksen's former teammate, Thomas Sorensen, believes that the Tottenham star is now ready to join a big club like Real Madrid or Barcelona, and should certainly consider moving to Spain if he gets offers from them this summer.

"I know he has great feelings for Tottenham," he told Perform, as reported by Omnisport. "He's also a loyal guy, so for him to leave Tottenham, it would really need to be something special.

"If Barcelona, Real Madrid – those kinds of clubs came calling – he'll definitely need to consider it. I don't know exactly his position or his situation but he'll definitely fit in there.

"I think he's mature enough now to go to a big club like that, where the expectations are there, also playing with other great players. I think he's at the right time now where he's ready for that. So, if that opportunity comes and it's possible for him, I think he should go."
