Messi hands out January wishlist

Spanish outlet Diario Gol has revealed that the Argentine superstar wants four players to improve the team in January. The departure of Neymar and the unfortunate injury to Ousmane Dembele have reduced the team's depth and missing out on Marco Verratti handed another blow to Barcelona.

Thus, the report states that Messi wants Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, Schalke's Leon Goretzka, Nice's Jean Seri and Brazilian Barcelona's Yerry Mina in the winter transfer window.

The Catalans have been linked with the players in the past and tried to sign a couple of them in the previous transfer window as well. It remains to be seen whether the club can complete the deals in an usually difficult January window.

Ronaldo wants Marc-Andre ter Stegen to replace Keylor Navas

Ronaldo wants Ter Stegen at Real Madrid

It is no secret that Real Madrid have been trying to replace Keylor Navas for a while now. Manchester United's David de Gea almost joined the Champions League holders in 2015 but for a faulty fax machine.

Now, Spanish news outlet Don Balon reports that Cristiano Ronaldo has told his club to sign Barcelona no.1 Ter Stegen. The German goalkeeper has established himself as Ernesto Valverde's no.1 and is one of the best keepers in world football.

While a transfer between the two rivals is unlikely, it is definitely not impossible, especially if Madrid president Florentino Perez decides to pursue the player.

Jose Mourinho interested in Martial-Rakitic swap deal

Mourinho is looking at Rakitic to bolster his midfield

The Manchester United boss considers Ivan Rakitic could be a valuable addition to his midfield and is willing to let go of Anthony Martial, as per Diario Gol. Martial is yet to become a first-team player and if he wants to get selected for France to play in next year's World Cup, then he needs more playing time.

Further, Barcelona is looking at Seri from Nice and Goretzka from Schalke in January, implying Rakitic could be allowed to leave. Moreover, getting Martial would be a fine coup for Valverde as the Frenchman can bring in pace, creativity and goals from the left-hand side.

A lot depends on Mourinho allowing to Martial to leave as Barcelona would benefit from this deal if they land their midfield targets.
