What's the story?
Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho has spoken about his future amid rumours linking him with a move away from Nou Camp.
Coutinho insists that he will try to succeed with Barcelona but he also admits that he does not know what will happen in the future.
In case you didn't know...
Coutinho arrived at the Nou Camp with high hopes in the winter transfer window of 2018 as he became Barcelona's record signing. Barcelona paid around €142 million for the 27-year-old to sign him from Liverpool.
The Brazilian midfielder made an immediate impact with powerful performances in the second half of 2017/18 season. But he has failed to live up to the expectations of the Blaugrana faithful in the 2018/19 campaign.
With 11 goals and 5 assists in 54 appearances across all competitions, Coutinho has failed to cement his spot in the starting line-up. As a result of his inconsistent displays, he has received his fair share of criticisms from fans and critics alike.
Moreover, he has fallen down the pecking order under Ernesto Valverde and has been linked with leaving Barcelona this summer..
The heart of the matter
The Brazilian star has claimed that he is focused on the Copa America and still doesn't know what will happen in his future.
Speaking in an interview, Coutinho said:
"I have a contract with Barcelona, it was always my will to succeed in this club, but now I am totally concentrated here [with Brazil] and about the future [with Barca] we do not know what will happen."
"Many things that come out in the media are simply not true but as for my future we do not know what is going to happen, that is the truth."
He also admitted that his performances were below his own expectations.
"Honestly, it wasn't a good season. It didn't produce what I wanted, it didn't go as I hoped."
"But I hope it serves me as an example, as a lesson so that I want more, concentrate even more to be able to succeed."

It still remains to be seen whether Coutinho will stay at Nou Camp or not for the upcoming season.
