Former Liverpool defender and current manager of German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen Sami Hyypia has proclaimed that coaching Liverpool in future would be a dream come true.

Hyypia , who had a cult following back in his Anfield days has admitted to German tabloid Bild as he said : “I have two special places in my heart. I was born in Finland. And since coach is the biggest job. Liverpool has a different place in my heart.

I will not say that it is a goal, but after the ten years that I’ve played there, it would be a dream someday to be Liverpool manager. But I live in the here and now. And that is Bayer 04 Leverkusen and is great fun. “

The manager’s club Leverkusen are sitting pretty in the Top 4 of the Bundesliga table winning 6 games in 7 with 18 points, just a point behind leaders Borussia Dortmund, who are ahead of European Champions Bayern Munich on goal difference.

When asked if he would trade places with Pep Guardiola, the 39-year-old proudly replied , “No, I make my decisions. I am satisfied with what I have and where I am. We have a good team and work in the frame that is given to us. Many people would like to share with me.”
