Beckham won't turn to management post retirement

David Beckham has ruled out any speculation of getting into management once he decides to hang up his boots. The 37-year-old former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder believes that he will make a good coach but managing a club is not his cup of tea. Speaking to SkySportsNews, the LA Galaxy player said:

“I love the game and love coaching kids, but management is not something I would want to do. I have a few ideas but while I am still playing I will concentrate on that, and then think about other things when I am finished.”

Beckham will receive a special UEFA award at half-time in England’s friendly against Belgium later today for having made more than 100 appearances for the country and he believes the ‘underdog’ status might work in the Three Lions favor at the Euro 2012.

“There is always going to be a certain amount of pressure and expectation on England but I think we are going to go into this competition relaxed and ready to play.

“With the talent we have in this country there is always a chance of us winning. We have got the players and we have got the spirit, as simple as that.”

Beckham has also urged the visiting England fans to stay safe amidst fears of racism related attacks in Ukraine and Poland. He said:
“Our fans will do what they want. They are passionate about watching England play and watching England perform and win. In the years I have played for England and seen them travel, there are no fans that travel like us. They just need to stay safe. At the end of the day you are not going to be able to stop fans travelling but everybody has to be sensible.”
