The Manchester City playmaker played like a boss against Brazil. Pundits were critical of him until now because he was playing at a much deeper position then he should but Roberto Martinez tactical switch did a marvellous job for the nation as well as for Kevin De Bruyne.
He initiated all the counter-attacks by picking up the ball from the midfield and run forward. He always had two options to pass, Eden Hazard to the left and Romelu Lukaku on the right. He completely dominated Fernandinho at the centre of the park.
He would run at Thiago Silva to draw him out of the position and then would make a through-pass to one of the two players in front of him. Not only creating chances, he scored a breath-taking goal far away from Allison when Lukaku made a wonderful run from the midfield.
