Blackburn Rovers have surprised the fans by including Nigerian midfielder Dickson Etuhu and Norwegian winger Joshua King in their U21 squad to face Liverpool U21 this evening. Etuhu, 31 sustained ankle ligament injury during training in November and King was sidelined at the beginning of February during a 2-0 win against Blackpool F.C.

After losing to the league leaders Fulham 3-0 on Tuesday evening, Eric Kinder’s team have a Herculean task to do in defeating Liverpool U21 who are currently placed 2nd in the league. The 1-0 defeat of the senior team at the hands of A.F.C. Bournemouth has certainly lowered the spirits of the young Rovers. Kiwi Tim Payne has also returned to the squad after international duty. Payne played for New Zealand in a 4-2 defeat to Japan.
