Borussia Dortmund management have lashed out at their star striker Robert Lewandowski‘s agents for allegedly releasing a confidential discussion between the Polish international and the club to Der Spiegel.

The discussion was actually a verbal tiff between the club and the player which his agents leaked to the magazine. The forward was looking for a transfer to the European Champions Bayern Munich in May which the player’s club denied giving him a 200 percent pay hike to render his services for one last season.

Mitchell Zorc, Dortmund’s sporting director said : “Once again, this is one-sided, negative and biased reporting, paired with indiscretion from the agents’ side,” he said. “For me, that is very dubious and, besides, the whole issue is ‘cold coffee’.”

Joachim Watzke gave his opinion on the issue and said , ” I’m not surprised that this subject has been reopened. We will continue to avoid making any comments — doing so would be like having mustard after the meal.”

The player’s contract with his current club will terminate in 2014 and he will be available on free transfer.
