Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary square off in Group A3 of the UEFA Nations League on Monday. Marco Rossi’s men journey to the Bilino Polje Stadium unbeaten in their last five games against the hosts and will look to extend this dominant run.
Bosnia and Herzegovina failed to get up and running in Group A3 of the UEFA Nations League as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Germany in Zenica on Friday.
Before that, Sergej Barbarez’s side kicked off the campaign with a 5-2 defeat against the Netherlands on September 7, three days before playing out a goalless draw with Hungary.
While Bosnia will look to find their feet on Monday, next up is the challenge of an opposing side whom they have failed to get the better of in their previous encounters since March 1999.
Hungary, on the other hand, continue to struggle for results in the Nations League as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Netherlands after conceding an 83rd-minute equalizer.
Like the hosts, Rossi’s men have failed to win their opening three matches in Group A3, claiming two draws and losing once so far. With just two points from the first nine available, Hungary are currently third in the standings, one point above Bosnia at the bottom of the pile.
