Colombia Player Ratings against Brazil:

Diaz put Colombia in front with a stupendous bicycle kick.
Diaz put Colombia in front with a stupendous bicycle kick.

David Ospina - 6/10

He fiercely argued with the referee over the legitimacy of the first Brazil goal. Ospina went into the books for the same but should've done better with the hosts' second.

Daniel Munoz - 6/10

The right-back struggled with the pace of Neymar, with Richarlison also sometimes attacking down Munoz's flank.

Yerry Mina - 6.5/10

His aerial strengths reminded of his performances in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, but Mina produced little of note from open play.

Davinson Sanchez - 7/10

The Tottenham Hotspur star made one good block and clearance apiece but was thrown off track when Brazil upped the ante in the final quarter of the match.

William Tesillo - 6/10

He conceded the ball cheaply to Jesus early on, causing a nervous moment in Colombia's box. Tesillo was fouled by Neymar in the last few minutes, which earned the Brazil star a yellow card.

Juan Cuadrado - 7.5/10

Juan Cuadrado's pacy runs were effective in launching counter-attacks for Colombia. But he will be suspended from their quarter-final clash after getting booked late on.

Wilmer Barrios - 6/10

He was rarely seen in the game after the foul he drew from Richarlison early on until stoppage time when Barrios was shown a yellow of his own for a challenge.

Mateus Uribe - 6/10

Uribe returned from his suspension and was slotted right back into Colombia's XI. Head coach Rueda might be regretting that now, as Uribe gave the ball away easily a few times and contributed nothing meaningful.

Luis Diaz - 7.5/10

The winger gave Colombia a shock lead with a scintillating overhead kick and used his pace from the flanks to spark a few counters.

Rafael Borre - 5/10

Borre was kept firmly under wraps by Brazil's resolute defence, so it was not surprising to see that he was the first Colombia player to be taken off.

Duvan Zapata - 5/10

The prolific Atalanta star was not lethal, cutting a subdued figure in attack and getting substituted just minutes after Borre.

Ratings of Colombia substitutes against Brazil:

Oscar Murillo - 6/10

He came on at the start of the lengthy stoppage-time period and turned in a decent shift at the back.

Gustavo Cuellar - 5/10

Cuellar's only notable moment in the game was a yellow for hacking down Neymar on the touchline.

Miguel Borja - 6/10

The 28-year old hammered away one of Neymar's corners with a powerful header, his only meaningful contribution on the night.
