Rio de Janeiro, Jan 17 (IANS) Brazilian football club Internacional has announced the signing of CSKA Moscow forward Vitinho on a year-long loan. The 21-year-old was officially presented to fans on Friday after passing a medical test at the club's Porto Alegre base, reports Xinhua.
Vitinho has scored just once from 24 appearances for the Russian club after his 2013 transfer from Rio de Janeiro outfit Botafogo.
The former Brazil under-21 player is contracted to CSKA Moscow until 2018 after he signed a five-year deal with them while joining from Botafogo. However, he was not very happy with having to sit on the bench perennially and so sought this move to get some regular football. With Brazil's 2015 Serie A season due to begin on May 10, this could prove to be a good move for him.
After having been linked with a loan return to Botafogo, his move to Internacional has now been confirmed.Published 17 Jan 2015, 18:29 IST
