Another central defender on Burnley's radar is Birmingham City's, Marc Roberts only signed for the Blues earlier this year on a five-year deal. However, this does not rule out the possibility of Dyche signing the player and sending him back on loan to Birmingham.

Roberts moved to the Blues from Barnsley, after two great seasons with the Tykes. It was during his time with Barnsley, around when Burnley began to show interest in the player. The 27-year-old has worked his way up the English league system and could be on the verge of making it to the PL.

He would serve as an additional central defender and be part of a solid setup under Sean Dyche at Burnley. As Birmingham languish in the bottom three in the Championship, a PL move could tempt the player who is in his prime to rise to the challenge.
