Clueless couple poses with Manchester United players; asks football-enthusiast son who they are

Australian e-sports commentator Nate Patrick was left shell-shocked after he discovered that his parents had met Manchester United players on a train in England and even posed for pictures with them.

Patrick believes that while his family is not interested in football, the beautiful game is a "main part " of his life. The commentator further said that his family even had no interest in the FIFA World Cup, an event that is watched by over three billion people across the globe.

In a Twitter thread, Patrick revealed the incidents leading up to his parents' meeting with the Premier League stars.

The Australian commentator's parents were in England as his father is working on a big project in the country.

When on a train, the couple were disturbed by a group of people who were noisily playing UNO right behind them.

The group knew how much noise they were making and apologised to the couple, and asked if they'd like to take photographs with them for amends.

Patrick's parents were initially confused at the offer as they had no idea who the young men were and thought they had offered to take a picture of them.

This was when one of the men (Pogba), who had a French accent, clarified, "No, no no, I am asking if you would like a photo with me, sir?"

Patrick claims that his parents obliged to the photo because his father is "mega-polite". His parents then sent him photos of the encounter on Whatsapp and the messages have since gone viral.

Manchester United currently sit at 6th place with 44 points (level with Arsenal) in the Premier League table after a decent run of games under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

The new and improved Manchester side will take on the Gunners in the FA Cup on Friday.
