Coutinho has had a disappointing stint with Barcelona.

Philippe Coutinho joined Barcelona amidst huge fanfare. He had a noteworthy stint with Liverpool, scoring 41 league goals in 152 appearances. After various proposals, Barcelona finally made a deal with Liverpool to rope in Coutinho for a transfer fee of £105 million.

Everything looked great for Coutinho as Barca further promised a future rise of £142 million. Unfortunately, his debut got postponed following a thigh injury ruling him out of action for three weeks. When he finally made his debut, he looked a little out of place.

Coutinho did score his first goal in a crucial Copa del Rey semi-finals match against Valencia just a few weeks after his debut. He also scored a crucial El Clasico goal on October 28, 2018. Still, the Brazilian looks like a pale shadow of his former self. He has not started many games for Barcelona this season as Dembele seems to be better than him.

Barcelona may want to trust the player for a long time but his performance doesn't seem to back him up. The Brazilian star's transfer value had dipped vigorously and some of the teams would have started discussing signing Coutinho. Let's have a look at three such teams that might possibly want the Brazilian midfielder.

#3. Chelsea

If Madrid sign Hazard from Chelsea, Coutinho may be the best target for the Blues.
If Madrid sign Hazard from Chelsea, Coutinho may be the best target for the Blues.

There is some possibility of Chelsea signing Coutinho. They would want a player like him in their ranks. Their recent big entry, Higuain seems to be a little misplaced. However, the Argentine can cope well in the coming days. With the addition of Coutinho, Higuain would be a bit free. Madrid may likely sign Hazard, so Coutinho might be a target for Chelsea

There were some reports claiming that Chelsea was inquiring about the availability of Coutinho. The Pensioners would be willing to get him for a contract of £100m. If Barca makes the call to let Coutinho go then the London-based side would be glad to receive him.

#2 Manchester United

Reports claim Coutinho has spoken to some Red players about a potential Old Trafford switch.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side might be interested in signing Coutinho. If rumors are to be believed, they were enquiring about the Brazilian star's transfer fee during the January transfer window.

There were also reports claiming that Coutinho had spoken to some Manchester United players about a potential switch to Old Trafford.

During the March 09, 2019 game against Rayo, he had been jeered by his home supporters. This shows the frustration of the fans towards him. Fan backlash might be the motivating factor for Coutinho to consider a switch.

Manchester United might be glad to have Coutinho as he is someone who knows their rivals, Liverpool, very well. Signing Coutinho also means that they have signed a player who had been well versed in the English Premier League before his transfer to Barcelona.

Yes, Coutinho is not performing well in Barcelona, but that cannot be the same in Manchester United where the Brazilian will return to the conditions he had been accustomed to. He would certainly excel against his former team Liverpool and other rivals such as Tottenham, Arsenal, etc.

#1 Paris Saint Germain

Paris Saint-Germain signed Barcelona player Neymar for a world record fee.

Much like Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain would also be interested to get Coutinho in their ranks. They have another Brazilian, Neymar in their ranks. However, Neymar had been out treating his injury during the most important phase in PSG's UCL season.

Their defeat against Manchester United due to an injury prone Neymar missing the match may not resonate well with them. Sure they have the option to give him more chances but still, his world record fee may not be suitable for PSG in the long run.

With Real Madrid likely considering Neymar after Champions League exit, they might be likely to leave him in order to get another Brazilian like Coutinho. The team looked promising even without Neymar in the first leg clash against Man Utd in the round of 16.

Thus, they might want to build the faces of tomorrow alongside the Liverpool version of Coutinho.
